Luxury has taken on a new meaning during the pandemic for REALM real estate tech company creator Julie Faupel. Surprisingly, she sees something beautiful emerging from all the disruption — peace of mind.
I founded REALM, a patented data-rich luxury real estate tech platform for elite realtors to provide an expertly curated experience for their high net worth clients. As the pandemic redefines what people prioritize — as well as what defines luxury — the community that REALM has created is a result I didn’t expect and something much more special than I ever anticipated.
Throughout my career in the luxury sector, I have always been fascinated by the way that the word “luxury” can be misinterpreted, over-used and abused. Regardless of who you are, your upbringing, your socio-economic status, your career or any other external factor, we all have an idea of what luxury is. Today, as we sit in isolation in our homes and our communities, the definition of luxury has been shaken to its core.
